1st project: Emotions
As you can tell, besides the fact that these are all portraits, i have tried something a little different then what i usually post. I wanted to take photos of people who have diverse character. I aimed to capture emotions not often shown in my work. I focus on beauty, but i have not focused on true and raw emotion. I didn’t pose a single person in this series i sat and talked to them while taking the photos.

I have never seen any pictures like these before. I really like them. I like how you focused in on their faces, and I can definitely see emotion in a lot of them. They all have beautiful eyes too. All of these pictures are really different, and I like them.
I really liked this series of pictures. I think you did a great job of getting them to show emotion. They were all fairly serious but I found it interesting and it immediately grabbed my attention when I got to your blog. Eyes always tell what is going on in someone’s head and what they are truly feeling. You did a good job showing this. Nice job and keep it up. I think portraits is your thing (:
Wowowow. These are amazing! I love how they all look like they’re seriously thinking about something. The intensity of the eyes is absolutely stunning!!!!! GORGEOUS! In the fifth one, the girl looks like she kinda has tears in her eyes…which is really expressing sadness…its beautiful!

I really like how you took these pictures. I think they are really nice how you got up close and showed the whole face, I also liked how you did these shots of different kinds of people not just one. They all look like they would have a different life style then the others.
I like the emotion in all these pictures, great job Emily. They all look like they’re crying though, but maybe thats what your going for. I like the eyes and how in focus the faces are. Once again, great job
Was the yes done with lighting or a flash? I must know!
This is an interrobang (this thing ‽ ) of opinion. I am getting different emotions of pictures but not the ones they seem to be portraying.
i really liked these photos, i like the colors and hoe they all are looking through a circle. each photo has really strong emotion to it and somehow tells you something. i really like the lighting and how they almost don’t look real. these are some really good photos and i like them a lot.
