Project #2 color

So, heres the scoop on these pictures….. Im not gonna lie i’m not to excited about what i had to pull together for this color assignment. I guess you can say i’m still learning how to juggle six separate photo shoots and assignments at once. It is truly hard managing time, dividing editing time for each client, putting together good photo’s by there due dates, and last but most important making sure the costumer is happy. I understand now why Mr. Twitchell says ” a costumer isn’t going to tell the difference between a photo you worked three hours on and a photo that took you twenty minutes to do.” I’m learning and thats all that matters right?
Anyways for this shoot i traveled to rockford bay and got some pictures at this abandoned Ranch/farm house. It was a great location for possible senior portraits or even weddings. It was creepy at night though…. i felt like i was taking pictures at the scene of the texas chain saw massacre. Creepy…. Anyways during the day it was briliant. The barn and fields had so many different colors. It was beautiful.
Just an F.Y.I i will be posting my editing processes every time i do a post.
This is the process i used on the picture above:
1. went into my levels gave the picture the true blacks and whites it needed. Levels really pops color out by the way.
2. I enhanced the saturation slightly. Dont want over kill on the colors or else they tend to go into the neons. EWW
3. After this i went into my color selection and picked the colors i wanted to fine tune and tweaked the yellows, reds, greens, blacks, cyans, and blues.
By the end i think i gave the picture a completely different look. The hay took on a completely fifferent hue and in my opinion and gave it a really warm look.

First- run spell check on your posts before you post it live to your site. Remember that potential clients may be looking at your site and if they see spelling errors, they might be judging you on that.
You mention the photo shoots, POST photos from them!! post what you are working on! It doesn’t have to be the final piece, but post it to show what you have done!
